Living Horus is a pseudonym I used years ago when I first started working in homoerotica, the male form having been central to my work as a Visual Artist for many years. I have always been influenced by the work the great pioneers of Homoerotic Art, from Wilhelm von Gloeden, to George Quaintance, Bob Mizer, Tom of Finland, James Bidgood and Pierre et Gilles, Jack D Cowan and Australia's very own Ross Watson.
As you can imagine, I have long been a fan of Sword and Sandal epics, AMG and other publications like Physique Pictorial. They are central to my inspiration. The images within are my homage to these brave men whose contributions led to a much broader acceptance of male sexuality and the male body in contemporary art.
